ChipsAway lead the way with new ADAS supporting CRM
ChipsAway are delighted to be able to announce the implementation of a substantial process update to ensure the safety of customers whose cars have any form of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This follows the recent release from Thatcham, whose research is at the forefront of vehicle safety, security and repair, regarding the requirements for post-repair recalibration.
Effective from 1st June 2019, all ChipsAway specialists will have full access to detailed information regarding whether a customer’s vehicle has any form of ADAS fitted, exactly where it is located, and most importantly, whether the car will require any form of safety-critical recalibration following a repair.
Speaking about the major investment in overhauling their CRM infrastructure, ChipsAway Managing Director, Tim Harris, comments: “As brand leaders, we know how important it is to stay ahead of the game in terms of technological advances. Our market-leading software agreement ensures that not only do our specialists have the vital ADAS information at their fingertips, but even more importantly, they can then provide the customer with an introduction to a complete recalibration service, following any repair work.”
ChipsAway, the UK’s leading minor car repair specialist, made the pioneering decision earlier this year, to ensure only specialists who are fully trained, will be able to carry out work on EV and Hybrid vehicles. To enable this, and in the interest of safety and protecting their network, customers and general public, specialists are now required to complete a City & Guilds Level 3 in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair and Replacement course.
Promoting awareness of safety is a big part of the business culture at ChipsAway and something instilled in their specialists from the first day of training.
“Our ongoing investment in Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid training, along with our commitment to providing full ADAS recalibration requirements to our specialists and customers, means we are leading the way for the SMART repair sector, ensuring that safety is at the forefront of everything we do!” Concludes Tim.
