Fantastic feedback from our franchisees has secured a shortlisting for Home Instead in the 2017 Best Franchise Awards in the brand new Best Management Franchise category.
We are thrilled to be finalists in these significant sector awards based on feedback from our network in Smith & Henderson’s annual Franchisee Satisfaction Survey.
This year’s survey was completed by 94% of our franchisees – demonstrating our business owners’ engagement in the research.
Martin Jones, Managing Director of Home Instead Senior Care, said: “To be the best you have to give the best. We believe that lies in support that grows and changes with franchisees as they start their journey and as their business matures so they can reach their full potential through our model.
“Our team at National Office is now 45-strong, which gives us one of the most robust support ratios in the franchise industry. We are thrilled to be a finalist in the new Best Management Franchise category as a true reflection of our commitment to nurturing our network.”
Home Instead franchisee Nell Light was convinced by the calibre of the brand’s management franchise opportunity when she was looking for a new career path when leaving the armed forces.
Nell spent 17 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a Medical Support Office – rising to the rank of Major. Now the Andover and Wiltshire owner, she said: “I was convinced by a model that was both incredibly predictive and supportive. My financial forecast has followed the trends I expected – and is literally £50 out after just shy of a year of operation. I’ve had 90-day and 180-day training courses, so I’ve felt prepared and informed.”
Meanwhile Oldham owner Mick Sheehan felt the management franchise proposition from Home Instead would help him achieve his ambition to create a company that gave something back to his local community.
Said Mick: “We spoke to various homecare franchisors as part of our due diligence research. A lot of the conversations centred on the money side of the business. While this was obviously an important consideration, we felt it didn’t address our concerns about the quality of care delivered. It was only when I met with Home Instead Senior Care that I felt we’d found the right fit.
“Home Instead’s ethos of relationship-led, person-centred care really chimed with how I felt care should be delivered. And it wasn’t just an ethos, it was put into practice every day in every single care visit. I felt they were much more in tune with our values, and our experience since has vindicated that.” Mick’s franchise now holds an Outstanding Rating, the highest rating possible, from the Care Quality Commission.
The Best Franchise Award winners will be announced at the Best Franchise Conference, which takes place on 30 November.
Director of smith+henderson, Steven Frost said: “We would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to these franchisors who have already shown themselves to be amongst the very best in the country. All the finalists have received outstanding feedback from their franchisees, who completed our independent and confidential Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark survey, which uniquely identifies the franchises that live up to their franchisee’s expectations. We congratulate them on this achievement.”
