The Wow Cafe & Wingery franchise gets a mention by Jim Price in today’s Journal Sentinel.
He comments: “Franchises don’t readily lend themselves to a strong show of individual character; rather, they tend to submerge even a square-peg personality in the round hole created by the corporate cookie-cutter.” Price reports that: “Lane Manning respectfully refuses to be forced into any mold, and his brand-new Wow Cafe & Wingery.”
Manning said: “It’s like buying a model, you’ve got the plans, but you can customize it if you want.”
Wow was founded in 2001 by three brothers in Covington, La., and now has 27 stores, mostly in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. As a new franchise, it was still affordable and willing to work with its franchisees – even when they want to do things their own way.
