The idea behind Booster Juice originally came from Canadian Wishewan who wanted to create something not only healthy but delicious that the general public could enjoy without guilt. It took a lot of experimenting in Dale’s own kitchen, but soon enough a variety of wonderful smoothies and juices were created, some of which are still on the menu today.
The first Booster Juice shop was opened in Alberta, Canada in 1999 and, despite the winter weather, people were enthused about the new juice and smoothie concept and the store began to make a healthy profit. Within a year, 15 more locations had opened, and there were 35 more by the end of year two. That’s a Canadian franchise record which is not the only award that Booster Juice has won. Others include 2017 FAB Awards (best new food and beverage concept), 2016 Airport Revenue News (best airport franchise and best airport design) and 2015 ICSC, Silver Award for Pearson T1 (best new retail store design) plus many more dating back to 2001.
From the very start, the concept behind Booster Juice was to give customers healthy alternatives to sugary, high fat drinks and snacks in a fast, efficient, delicious way. That concept holds as true today as it ever did.
