You’re your own boss, with our support

It’s your business, but you have a strong company and team at your back. We help with everything from your business plan to your location to your marketing to your billing. You can concentrate on designing and selling Danish design kitchens. With a Kvik franchise, you never have to go it alone. We’re with you every step of the way – all on the same team, making one another better – we call it OneTeam. We develop and release new Danish design products regularly and back up your business with strong digital marketing, driving leads your way in the form of bookings.  From our head office in Denmark, and our local country teams, we support you with everything you need to manage your store.  We don’t only help you when you’re starting out, but the whole way through – when it’s time to renew your lease or upgrade your store five years down the line. 

Focus on sustainability

We think sustainability into our products from the very beginning – designing for the lifecycle of the kitchen. We use as many recycled materials in our products as possible and are constantly looking at how to use more.

 

 

The store

We supply a complete store solution, no matter the size of your store. We recently completely overhauled and modernised our showroom concept – making it even more inviting for today’s customers. We develop and update our range of Danish design kitchens, baths and wardrobes and regularly introduce new products and colours. Every store is built according to the standards of our master store in Vildbjerg and we keep our finger on the pulse of the latest retail trends Our stores are inviting and showcase our Danish designs at their best. 

The knowledge

Kvik Academy, our in-house training centre, is where we provide everything you need to learn the Kvik concept, all about our products and how to sell kitchens. The training is a combination of time spent at our headquarters in Vildbjerg and hands on in an established store. Working in an established store builds your network among your fellow franchisees. We provide you with a retail consultant twice a week during the first 10-12 weeks after your store opens – this service is unique in the industry. The retail consultant is available as needed thereafter.

The support

From the beginning we have a close dialogue, and we stand ready to advise you with any questions you may have about store operation and customer support. We handle social media for all countries in our Marketing department. We have a customer care team that handles our chat and all interactions on our social channels. 

The Marketing team in Denmark handles all national branding activities, including making sure we have gorgeous pictures and videos of our products, so our brand stands out from the competition.  Your local Marketing Manager ensures local marketing to drive leads, bookings and customers to your store. We have a digital-only marketing approach, making sure our marketing activity meets your customers where they are – online and on social media. 

The operations

We offer you a complete solution for your business – so we handle bookkeeping and sales management, technical support, marketing and operations support. This means you can devote all your time and energy to building your business and operating your store.

How much investment is required?

Owning a Kvik franchise requires a solid financial foundation. That means that we expect that you, as a franchisee, have free capital to invest. It’s possible to finance your investment in part, but our experience shows that banks and other financing partners require a minimum of £50,000 in equity or capital.  The entire investment can range between £220,000 – £350,000, depending on the location.

How long is the application process?

The application process is unique from case to case, as we work hard to make sure that the fit is right for both you and us. It can take three to six months to finalise the agreement. And it can be up to a year before the store is open. 

How much can I earn?

We generally see that the target for years 1-2 is break even and in the third year, we see an EBIT of 7-10%.  The average franchisee in Kvik earned an EBIT of €207,049 in 2021. 

What’s the process?

Everyone’s journey is a little bit different, but the steps are always the same. You apply, then we meet in the local country, then if it feels right for both of us, we work on a contract and help you put your business case  together. We can offer legal help and assistance in securing financing. We’ve probably already been looking for the right location, but we finalise that together. Then you get started with your training. Meanwhile, our store construction team builds up your store, or rebuilds it if you’re taking over an existing store. Then we make sure you have bookings on opening day through our digital marketing and then it’s time for your grand opening. And we stay by your side, helping you along the way. You’re your own boss, but we’re with you every step of the way.
