Founded in 1983 by French native and English resident Colette Leclerq Hallam, La Jolie Ronde is an award-winning Language programme for 0-12 year olds that emphasises linguistic development, cultural learning, and an exciting and playful atmosphere. This is something of a personal mission for its founder, who discovered after having moved to England that her children were losing touch with their language and culture. Soon after using these methods with her own children, she realised the importance and enjoyment of learning in this way on a larger scale, and La Jolie Ronde was born. With over 1,660 out of school classes across the U.K and Ireland, administered by more than 560 tutors and an enrolment of approximately 20,500 children, they are now one of the leading lights of language and learning.
In addition to their award winning extracurricular French and Spanish language classes, which were recognised as the “Best National Activity For 5-12 Year Olds 2014-2016. La Jolie Ronde also offers its expertise and resources to schools across the U.K and Ireland, being used in upwards of 60% of primary schools, and being found beyond the U.K in countries such as Indonesia, Australia, Egypt, Canada and Japan. This impressive body of work has brought founder Colette Hallam prestigious recognition in the form of being awarded the ‘Chevalier dans L’Ordre des Palmes Académiques’ by the French government.
With the advantage of their decades of experience and proven quality, La Jolie Ronde tutoring ensures children will leave their classes having developed core language skills which can open up both cultural and future employment avenues. In addition to improved confidence, self esteem and other key learning skills.
