In 2018 almost half of the population in the UK is single and they are mainly looking to meet someone who lives within a 5 mile radius of where they live or happily single and just looking to mix with like-minded friends.

Mintel a market research company have been looking at dating trends and predict the UK market will grow from £165m to £225m by 2019.

People, who have not been out there for a while, are probably totally intimidated for so many reasons. After all, they have probably never dated as a mom or dad, and their body could look totally different from the last time they were on the scene.

In addition to all these internal fears and concerns – all of which are totally normal, and all of which are experienced by every single person – it can be completely overwhelming when you hear single people chat about dating. Because it is different! Texting, online dating, Facebook, Tinder and hooking up are not the same as the last time they were out there.

Because of this growth in the market dating franchises can make an excellent, home based and potential lucrative lifestyle business and it is expected that more matching and dating franchise opportunities will continue to appear in the UK market.
