Nature Trails Day Nursery opened in Cawston, Rugby, in 2004, initially in a small building attached to a farmhouse. Since then, it has grown but stayed true to its original mission – to provide outstanding day care where children are welcomed, supported and encouraged to learn and grow within a rural environment. Its primary aim is to ensure the happiness, well-being and holistic development of its children.
The nursery provides care for children from six months old to pre-school age and is open from Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.
The nursery is staffed by a team of dedicated and hard-working childcare experts whose approach reflects that of Nature Trails Day Nursery and are all qualified to at least NVQ level 3. The children are given exposure to a wide range of experiences and activities including outdoor play from a young age which helps with their physical health, well-being and confidence as well as emerging movement and co-ordination skills.
Other activities include yoga, sign language, music and movement, petting zoos, football skills and creative arts which are facilitated by specialist visiting teachers and practitioners. Children can participate in outings to the park and local museum.
The nursery has relationships with at least 20 local primary schools to ease the transition once it’s time for the children to move on to the next step in their education journey.
