Speedy Freight was established in 2006 by directors Ian Southworth and Mike Le-Gallez. With a head office in Knutsford in Cheshire, Speedy Freight has grown into a national franchise network of sameday couriers and express freight service providers and is now 50% owned by the Eddie Stobart Logistics Group. It offers commercial and domestic customers a cost-effective one-stop shop for all their transport needs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
The company has a range of vehicles – everything from a small van to an articulated lorry and everything in between – and an appropriate vehicle will arrive with the customer within an hour of them booking the Speedy Freight Service. The Speedy Freight Service covers the whole of the UK and mainland Europe.
Speedy Freight specialises in deliveries that are urgent, delicate or fragile, heavy, time sensitive, high value, abnormal and difficult to handle. They commit to delivering safely, securely and within the time agreed – they will pick up goods from anywhere in the UK within an hour and deliver them within the same day.
Other services that Speedy Freight can offer include delivering dangerous goods (ADR) and Secure (known cargo). As well as their own fleet of vehicles based at Speedy Freight, the company has access to partner companies to help deliver customers’ goods on time.
