Founded in Amsterdam in 2009, Straetus Debt Collection has now grown to cover more than 10 different countries worldwide (including Russia and Israel and countries in Africa, North and South America and Europe) and this total is set to grow. Whereas the stereotype of a debt collector is not, perhaps, a pleasant one, this is where Straetus set themselves apart – the network prides itself on treating each debtor with respect and patience. There are no call centres, it is all done one on one with dedicated account managers for each debt.

Why is it done this way? It’s because it has proved to be successful. There can be many reasons why a debtor has not paid their invoice – getting angry and aggressive (often the go to responses when money is owed) isn’t always helpful.
