Theobroma: Food Of The Gods

Theobroma is a chocolate lounge with a head office based in Preston, Victoria, Australia. The first café opened in Melbourne in 2006. The idea was first conceived by architect and designer George and chocolate connoisseur Theo. It was thought that an Australian chocolate shop could provide a great alternative to European chocolatiers and coffee houses.

After experiencing success in Australia, Theobroma expanded and now has properties in New Zealand, Malaysia, China and the United Kingdom. The founders hope to continue expanding and opening more lounges around the world. Theobroma is unique in that it offers a special atmosphere where customers can really take pleasure in their chocolates, and fully relax in the cosy, warm environment.

As well as chocolates, Theobroma offers a range of other food and drink options. Customers can enjoy a range of meals, from breakfast to dinner, where foods ranging from burgers to salads are served. Sweet treats on offer include waffles, pancakes, chocolate covered fruits and chocolate milk shakes. It’s also a great place to shop for a gift – gift boxes are available and can be filled with dark, milk or white chocolate, coloured and shaped chocolates, truffles and liqueur chocolates.
