TSS Photography names winners of ‘franchise giveaway’ contest for military veterans.
Leading U.S. Photography Franchise Awards $20,000 Territory to Former U.S. Marine TSS Photography, the nation’s leading youth school and sports photography franchise, selected Andrew Stockglausner of Murietta, CA, as the winner of its ‘Franchise Giveaway’ contest, exclusively for military veterans.
Stockglausner was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps for four years, serving as a Legal Services Specialist at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA.
“The TSS Photography franchise giveaway contest is not something you come across every day,” said Stockglausner. “For me, it was the ideal franchise opportunity as I already have an interest in photography and I have a strong background in sales. TSS’ business model provides strong support for the franchisees and there is so much positive press out there about TSS Photography. TSS is there to give accolades and pats on the back and I am honoured to be a part of such a franchisee-oriented business.”
TSS Photography announced in January its ‘Franchise Giveaway’ Contest for military veterans with the grand prize of a $20,000 franchise territory, $5,000 in equipment, three nights at the TSS Photography Convention Hotel for training, and public relations support for their opening – for a total value of $30,000. The second place prize is a franchise apprenticeship, where the winner will work with a seasoned TSS franchisee to learn the business.
Charles Moulliet, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina won the franchise apprenticeship under TSS Photography franchisee Catherine Anderson. Moulliet served in the United States Navy for 21 years as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician.
“Andrew and Charles were the stand-out candidates in this contest,” said TSS President Joe Lindenmayer. “Their backgrounds, enthusiasm and skills make them the perfect fit for TSS. Providing them with an opportunity to get their foot in the door to our franchise so they can operate their own business is just one small gesture to the veterans who have given so much to our country,” Lindenmayer said.
Having served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) himself from 1989 to 1996 as a corporal, Lindenmayer said he’s familiar with the training and mentality provided in the armed forces and how it lends itself directly toward being a successful business owner. In fact, many other TSS Photography franchisees have formerly served in all branches of the Armed Forces dating back to the 1950’s.
“This contest is a win-win for TSS and for the winners,” Lindenmayer said. “This is a great opportunity to award two deserving veterans a wonderful franchise and lifestyle, while we receive the honour of having disciplined, hardworking franchisees in the TSS Photography system.”
TSS Photography, founded in 1983, has grown to more than 220 units in four countries and 42 states and is now the number one choice in youth photography. Over the next five years, TSS Photography anticipates to grow to 450 units.
